She gets dumped by her boyfriend of 15 years.

Kang Joo Eun meets Kim Yeong Ho, who agrees to be her personal trainer to help her get healthier. As they work on her physical transformation, they both discover they have feelings for each other. As they grow closer, they heal each other's emotional wounds and fall in love.

Feelings: First Episode

Was not sold on the weird fat shaming premise but it did make me laugh. I could tell the cast was relatively seasoned and I liked where it was going so I gave it shot. Plus sometimes you have to look beyond cultural/societal preferences to enjoy the ride, I did just that.

Characters

So Ji Sub as Kim Yeong Ho / John Kim

YO this tall glass of water hydrated my dry ass real quick! Mega ZADDY - I mean...not to gush but WOW! This actor is actually the one who prompted this entire blog. He has a somber appearance while still being super sexy and I was really touched by his acting skills. The character he plays is hard to read but he is very straight forward even though he's quite reserved. I appreciate that he gives no fucks and helps Joo Eun recover from a cringe worthy embarrassing moment like the fly guy he is. Even when he was being prideful in the hospital and not letting Joo Eun see him - you're not mad at him (I was a puddle of tears here). He is just a man who knows what he likes and knows how he wants to live his life. Just adds to the sexy. <3

Shin Min Ah as Kang Joo Eun

She is hilarious! First of all, she's so beautiful, even when she's "fat" (she was chubby at best y'all), she's still a sexy lady. I like that she recognizes that John Kim is hawt with a capital H. Joo Eun has a mature personality and she's pretty grounded as a woman and as a person. She's an excellent actress and I don't think just anyone could of pulled off that character. When she's begging to get into the room to see John Kim, I was hysterically crying. Joo Eun kept it pretty real the whole time realistic and overall was a really charming character. I'd fall in love with her too.

Yoo In Young as Oh Soo Jin

Terrible friend, clearly suffering from eating disorder and all the long term psychological effects that come with that, and she rubbed it in Joo Eun's face for no reason. Like girl, you don't gotta do all that. Go suck a toe with your chicklet teeth. Her mouth is so petite (can people have petite mouths?). But I gotta say...I didn't hate her, because I could relate to her rage and self loathing. I just think the way she treated a good friend was shitty and then it just compounded into more shit after that.

Jung Gyu Woon as Im Woo Shik

Grade A DICK. Oh you're going to break up with your girl after 15 years because she's chubby? And then have the audacity to date her college bff? Everything about this guy was wiggity whack! You and Soo Jin deserve eachother (I lowkey like them as a couple) but he just sucked ass.

Sung Hoon as Jang Joon-Sung

<33333

Henry as Kim Ji-Woong

XD

Post Feelings: Finishing the Series

In the end, I very much enjoyed this series even though the premise was not great. I LOVED the couple, they not only had chemistry but they were hot to watch. I attribute that to their ages in the story line allowing for more riskayyy interactions and I think the two actors were genuinely attracted to each other. The dimple thing they did was so adorable, I wonder if that happened organically or it was scripted for the actress. I also LOVED that Yeong Ho made it very clear that a healthy woman is what he's attracted to, not how skinny you are. Which transformed the anti-fat undertone into a positive thing.
